b00ze and shopping

Had an end of summer bash with goofy et al. yesterday, totally rocked. They have Spider O'Doom on their back porch, but he prefers moths to Megans so he can live. Thanks to the S we had yummy steak and thanks to the Tony we had mad cool b00ze. I did a shot of gold schlager (sp?) and a shot of peppermint schnapps (I think) and they were very very yummy. Also had something I was compelled to call smurf blood - sweet but also yummy. I did not however wake up with a hangover, so if the boyz want to get me drunk they shall have to try harder next time.

Went shopping today!!! First time I've done real shopping in ages. Together S and I dropped $250.00 or so at the bookstore. Mostly caught up in manga land - Orion, Crescent Moon, and!!!! Found Descendent of Darkness!!! Score! And bunches of other stuff. Also bought a novel about a vampire, which is fucking rare for me. I shall see if it as good as I hope it is.

Then bought clothes. Wow does it feel good to have new clothes. And new underthings, which I would brag about but nobody wants to hear about what kind of underwear I bought. And I splurged on a new pair of pj pants, b/c well...they were pretty and I wanted them. Got some new work shirts and pants, and a new journal for story notes. Now I just need some new shoes and to come up with an extra-awesome b-day gift for someone. And to send packages out to my family, about which I've been very lazy >_<

Also finally finished story o'doom for skylark. Longest "short" story I've written, but I'm very proud of it. Now it just needs beta'ed. The saddest part? Is that I want to write more about the characters in it...like I'm not behind on stories as is. *rolls eyes*

Must. Resist. Manga. Must. Clean. Room.

I bought new clothes today too but not for me, for Alice. I bought her a cute new little art chick outfit, with black shoes and off white tights to match. I got her a blue zip up sweatshirt too. Alice is going to have a lot of fall clothes since I already have a bunch other people have bought for her, the stuff I bought for her, my father said he bought more stuff for her and I am buying some Gymboree stuff for her in October!!

I also did not wake up with a hangover which is surprising considering I have no alcohol tolerance and Saturday I did the most drinking since I was in college. My liquor cabinet now has many bottles ^^ because for some reason, the rum was not gone.
