Beyond our world exists one that is home to the Shinigami who are "Gods of Death". Each Shinigami possess a powerful "Death Note", books which can kill any person by the owner simply by focusing on what the target looks like and writing their name down inside. This story is about a Shinigami who left his Death Note on Earth, with instructions on it's use, and the human who found it, Raito.
