Origami

abiona_sashenka sent me some gorgeous origami paper from Japan for my birthday, and a few night ago I made a Lily. My coworkers liked it, and one was taken enough by it that I'm teaching her origami now. It's really cool (and seriously, how many offices do you know let you get away with eating, reading Deathnote, and giving origami lessons?). Periodic moments of BANG BANG CRASH BOOM BANG BANG break through the usual quiet, but with the temp wall finally up it's not as bad as it would otherwise be. I do feel sorry for the people below us though, whenever the construction guys drop something.

Luckily enough for me, I never was able to afford cons and I'm too old now to turn into a raving fangirl (despite the icon). I can imagine you've seen more than you ever wanted in regards to cons - and yours couldn't kick out anyone underage, alas.

Yea, I really envy the no kiddies policy. Alas, it's the kiddies that make alot of the attendance numbers for most cons. And I'm not about to go to YC just for that.^^ I won't go to YC for the reasons that it exists.^^

I used to like origami...then my sibs and I had to fold 1001 paper cranes in the traditional fold style for my grandfather's birthday. I don't do origami anymore.

Have a great time at the con. Remember, you promised to have fun for me too. Oh, and if there is a dorky guy in the dealer's room with a voice that could shatter glass howling "get yer red-hot yaoi", ignore the howling and take a look at his table. He may be annoying, but he does have some good doujinshi.

*nods* He was at AnimeCentral and Otakon. Otakon's dealer room is huge. It takes you several minutes just to walk from one end to another, even if you didn't stop to look at anything. And you could hear him halfway down the room.

He does, however, have a good selection, and seems to know a lot about what he sells, which is good.

On another note, Hi. I am one of your random lurkers; I have been reading your fics since probably the beginning of this year. I found Treasure, and I think I stayed up until some obscene hour reading it. Anyway, I managed to stumble upon your lj a couple of months ago, and so began lurking it. I really like your all of your fics, but I'm not very good with reviewing fics, even the multiple arc stories I've read several times through. *hides*

I'll be at Y-con again this year, possibly dressed up as some strange doll/cat/girl-thing because I lack the time and funds to create a whole new costume.

I think the only thing I know how to make anymore is the crane. heh... I think I came close to making 100o during my internment at RRHS. It also kept my corner of the room quiet in math. They were too busy trying to follow the folds and make one themselves to be annoying.

I think they were most amused when I'd use squares of Post-Its because they really didn't think I could do it. I'm such a show off.

There was once a guy who trie to sound impressive by announcing that he could make a cup. I made like five in the amount of time it took him to make that statement.

Then I went back to my cranes.

Pack. che I didn't even pack for Moscow until--oh 11 PM the night before I left... yeah Good ol' responsible me. [rolls eyes]
