Talking to my mom is always fun. She might say unhappy stuff at one point, but she never ends on a sour note. And she's fun to chat with. Sammie - I called to get her snickerdoodle recipe and she decided she'd make them. So I guess you'll get those from her and other stuff from me.

I really need to get cracking on packages >_< Gomes B-day gift is going to be late now, which sucks.

Morons

So the week I started, the firm was just getting XP. Ye gods it disturbs me how much training these people have to go through to master what is (in my impression) designed to be stupid-friendly. I am not the most skillful of persons, in regards to technology, and I have no problem with XP. In regards to my fellow Ikon'ers, save for my boss, they're all idiots. Or lazy. Or both. One lost his head completely today b/c he was paranoid that the IT guy had deleted his precious fucking files. Why would they do that? The one girl said things were messed up b/c they were "putting XP word on" all the comps. Nevermind that all the Ikon comps are lik '98 or '00 and XP wouldn't work on them. So that was the discussion of the day, and cleary I'm not worth listening to yet.

On a somewhat more positive note, I *am* making lots of notes and sketching out bits of stories if not said stories in full. Two Christmas stories are partly down, as well stuff for Treasure, and I've gotten down a good chunk of notes for the story I'll be writing for NaNoWriMo (if I can get caught up before November), called The Blade and the Butterfly.
