Morning rambles

*am not liking what I'm seeing on my flist (that's for you greg) about War of the Worlds

*still have not received my smp story, but I'll give it through Saturday before I start whining to the mods again

*It's Friday! Have to work tomorrow, but eh.

*New month, new long story. I'm relatively certain the Paradise fans won out over the Embrace enthusiasts. Let's hope I don't fall behind again. More immediate goals including Midsummer and Devil, and Hunter if I can ever fracking figure out what to do with it.

*Wow got a lot comments to catch up on. I'll attempt that throughout the day.

*Going to be a hot one. Not a good day to be a runner, unless you're me and like the heat (and whichever sib - Sammie? - left the handy D'son water bottle I am commandeering it until further notice ^_^)

Megan was a bad girl

And bought a new desk >_>;;

But in my defense (I'll show pics once we retake the study ones ^^;) my current desk is itty bitty and I always have to go elsewhere to physically write and all (not, Nancy, that I still don't love you to death, forever and a day for the room you made for me. You have no idea how much that helped me settle in). And this desk was marked down to $153.00. It's awesome and it gives me so much space ^_^

So yeah. A desk, a new d drive and a wireless keyboard (ergonomic!)/mouse. But, I don't feel too bad. I've worked hard for them, all were really cheap, and it's stuff I'll make full use of*


On a sidenote: Three shots of Tequila and doing fine. Could probably do 4/5 no problem. Yes I know I'm pathetic. Give me my simple pleasure in life. These shot *totally* inspired by a seriously hot story in Naughty, a Torquere Press anthology. Of all their anthologies, this one is by far the best.

Poke me later I'll rec more of the stories there. I buy enough of them, the least I can do is get around to pimping the ones I like.

*assuming I can put this desk together -_-;; Times like this I wish I had a father or brother handy to abuse, b/c as tomboyish as I am, I'm so not guy enough to manage this desk w/out undue frustration. Ah well, small price to pay for having it ^_^
