Damned Truck
Sep. 17th, 2003 08:02 pmThe Princess was annoying today, but as indicated in my post yesterday, this is unsurprising.
I'd forgotten one very important part of working for a food place: the food runs out, which means more must come. The truck came in today, and given that we're supposed to get something of a storm (better known as a hurricane) the boss ordered double of nearly everything.
Guess who wound up in charge of checking everything off and seeing it got put away? Did I mention that the store is small enough it can barely handle the regular shipment? Whoever opens the freezer tonight is going to die a la avalanche o' sausage. If I ever see that much chicken again, I'm turning vegetarian. Not to mention the cheese - normally we order about 45 boxes (three bags to a box). There were 61, and I shelved all of them. This means standing in a freezer set at about 34 degrees, lifting and moving these just-heavy-enough-to-be-annoying boxes.
I was supposed to get off work at two, as I started at eight. I got off at four. Followed immediately by a long shower and a longer nap.
Now to commence with the writing. I really hope this latest chapter of treasure goes over well, but I'm not sure it will. Hell, I didn't even see some of this happening.
I'm done now. Really.

Did you ever read...
Date: 2003-09-18 03:42 pm (UTC)I'll see if I can find it. But basically Heero kidnapped Duo and tied him up and stuff. You might've already seen it.

Date: 2003-09-18 06:37 pm (UTC)great, now everyone knows how corrupt I am.
I haven't read that one, but I have this mass collection of g-wing doujins in my streamload account that I never got around to downloading, and I vaguely recall one with 'strawberry' in the title. Thanks, I'll have to download it now
