hurricane!

maderrEveryone else in town is "Ah, hurricane! oh no, what'll we do!!!"
My family just laughs - my sibs and I used to play in these when we were younger. Well, those were typhoons.
Anyway, the wind is gradually picking up. I think it's up to 24 knots or something right now, we won't get the full blast until later tonight. Power will probably got out long before that though - our lights flicker in weak thunderstorms.
My boss called at 8:50, asked if I could work 10:00 to 4:00. She called back at 9:03 and said nevermind, they were closing the store. That taken care of, I am going to refresh my coffee and write until the power goes out, in which case I'll light a candle and write the old fashioned way. I think I have a "pen" and "paper" somewhere around here...
