"What's left on Benny's list?" Klause asked as he threw boxes of cereal in the shopping cart. "Anything else on this isle?"
"No," Bastion frowned in concentration as he crossed off the items they'd already retrieved, "Mostly just stuff from the bakery and deli. Oh - peanut butter. Almost missed that one." He shoved the list into his back pocket.
"I think that's the next isle over." Klause resumed pushing the car, dodging around an old lady debating the various merits of various bags of beans. He glanced down the next isle and shrugged, "Yeah, I think it's down here somewhere."
Bastion rolled his eyes, "You could just read the signs." He pointed up, where signs hanging from the ceiling indicated the contents of each isle.
"That's for girls."
"Shut up."
"Make me"
"Not in public."
"Then what's the point?"
"Shut up." Bastion turned away so Klause wouldn't see him smiling and perused the peanut butter options. "They have chocolate peanut butter?!"
"Huh?" Klause blinked, then looked at what Bastion had picked up."You've never seen that before?"
Bastion shook his head. "Heck no. Why didn't anyone tell me about this? Chocolate peanut butter. That's awesome." He picked up four of them and threw them in the cart.
"Hey! Benny said not to go buying stuff not on the list."
"Bah. Then she should know better than to send me. I always buy extra stuff. There'd never be good snacks in the house otherwise." Bastian threw in another one for good measure. "Besides, it's chocolate peanut butter. Of course now we'll need more bread and stuff to eat it with," he wandered down the aisle, grabbing various snacks, leaving Klause to catch up with him.
Klause sighed and followed, "Easy for you to say. I'm the one that's going to get in trouble with Benny for letting you buy a bunch of junkfood.
"Whatever," Bastion walked back to throw a few more things in the cart, and startled Klause by leaning in to give him a swift kiss. "I'll make it up to you."
"Oh." Klause blinked, and grinned. "How about a kiss for each piece of contraband?"
"...I suppose that's fair." Bastian returned the grin, then went back to grocery shopping, list forgotten in his back pocket.

Date: 2004-11-24 10:45 pm (UTC)Considering my priorities, I think only reading works to distract me, but even that doesn't work when I'm short on sleep enough to get dizzy if I focus for too long. *hugs* Thanks for the offer though. ;)
