More and more I think the VG makers are figuring out that yaoi fangirls make up a not insignificant corner of the market.

Why else would you make a game about really hot, angsty twin brothers fighting each other?

Especially when you throw it what looks to be the seven sins as enemies. Twins. Dante has to battle Hell-Lust.

Too freakin' easy. And I haven't even played the game yet. They appear to have thrown a chick into the mix, but I think that's just for the sake of appearances.

Though I am amused by Vergil's final design. I guess they went with him being the "proper" boy to Dante's "badboy" image. (The pictures below are from the main dmc3 site, though I put them on my own lj picture thing to avoid hotlinking their's. not my property and all that. Also - they're wallpapers).

O.o I hadn't seen Vergil's design....o.O My first thought was, "Seifer, he's stolen your look!" And is it just me or is that jacket....froofy. I mean, Dante in red leather makes all kind of sense, but...blue...satin? He almost makes it up with the leather pants and vesty thing, but....hrrm..... ;) Thanks for sharing. I hadn't seen these. :drools quietly:

*snorkle* I thought the same thing. It does seem kind of weird...but wasn't Sparda kinda polished/refined? I guess they just need a froofy son to balance out Manly! Dante. And really, all it means is that we have to make extra-certain someone gets him out of the coat.

:gnaws: I wish like hell that I didn't have problems with my wrists. I can't do the thumb-mashing required of any of the DMC games without causing pain. Because I WAAAANT to play them, so I can watch all the pretty men smashing things.....

At least you have a legite reason - I just plain suck at anything not an rpg ^^; I make my brother play them - he's amazingly tolerant of my yaoi-flavored running commentary (though I thought he was going to kill me when I watched him play MGS 2).

Oh, I suck at them, too, don't get me wrong. ^___^ But I can't practice because they make my tendonitis flare up. :(( And I don't have anyone else that I'd feel comfortable asking to come over and play a game so I could watch....so sad....
