And I'm glad you liked yours, emerald_embers. I'm never sure if my take on the DMCverse is going to take with other fans. I hope it was what you wanted, I read the comment you left on the request and my mind took off. It was less happy than I tend to write, so very much different and fun.

Now, I wonder if Gomes is done eating yet. Perhaps I'll write just a bit longer, I am determined to finish or update *something* before this weekend is over with.

Thank you so much for the fic :). Vergil and Dante are just too many layers of yummy together, and somehow the subtlety with which you wrote it only made it all the hotter.

As to your take on the DMC universe, don't worry about it; I have suspicions Capcom might mess it up anyway (because so far I'm failing to see how Dante's sudden memory of him and Vergil as kids in Devil May Cry 1 is going to fit in with Devil May Cry 3, judging by the trailers). I have a whole offshoot in my head with the other demons and their home life o_o.
