maderrNot really sure when we'll be home. She's got works to do and I figured being here would keep me writing and not slacking off.
Damn good movie. Don't expect sparkles and light or happy endings. It was violent, sad and utterly addictive. I could not take my eyes from the screen (except to occasionally laugh at S because she kept jumping and hiding her face).
And the slash was thick enough you could cut it with a knife. I'm not even trying to force it. Not when the criminal helps the cop ("this is self preservation" my ass), and the cop watches him leave calling "I'll find you! No other cop! Just me!"
But slashiness aside, I liked it a lot. Mostly because all the people seemed real - it wasn't a group of surprise!we're heroes! people. They were clumsy and jumpy and selfish and bratty and freaked out - all of it. I loved it loved it. I think the doctor got to me the most, because even thought I know she'd annoy the fuck out of me if I knew her? She was trying as hard as she could, and did her damndest to be strong, and died very bravely. Credit where credit is due, and she's due a lot.
So I highly reccomend the movie. My parents would like it - just mom, expect a lot of dying. But no Randy or El Toro, I swear it.
