Dude, every chick and her Aunt Mildred is getting flowers today. It's rather amusing.

Ever wish you could just scrap holidays and start over? Like I told Sky, I like th concept of a day that celebrates love. But the execution is poor. Do these stupid bouquets mean anything? Or are they just "oh, v-day. better buy flowers"

I'm not going to lie, I like getting flowers. But not because I'm "supposed" to get them.

But it is amusing all the flowers that keep arriving.

Well, since I'm single, I don't worry about it. It is a whole different holiday for me.

Happy Chocolate Day!

I think it can be fun, over all.

Any day that celebrates chocolate is a good one. What we need to do is petition for an official Chocolate and Peanut Butter Day. *That* would be a holiday worth celebrating.

Hmmm...chocolate and peanut butter!! <<33!! (Add pretzels to that mix, and I'll love you forever. Have you ever tried Hersey's Take Five candy bar?)

Oh my good lord, that thing sounds deliciously evil in all the right ways. I may pop over to walgreens during lunch and see what I can find.

I've seen those! I think my area was a test-market site for those. I never did try one, though. I don't really care too much for pretzels.

Actually, my roommate's been dating the same guy for four straight years (going on five at this point). So she gets flowers on her birthday, and several holidays.

When I want flowers, I just buy them for myself. And at this point, *since am trying to lose weight again*, I would rather have the flowers than the chocolate.

*Shrugs* I used to get flowers from my dad for Valentines so I didn't feel left out, but that stopped when I was about 13. Improper or something. I think that's when I started hating the holiday.

I like that idea! Only, let's not call it Sweetest Day either. Can the first thing to go be the requirement that one must buy some material thing in order to demonstrate mutual affection? I like special occasions and special days simply because it means that me and the people I love are going to get together and do something fun and interesting. Whether it's having the time off to go home and see family, going out to see a movie or going out to eat, it's just fun to have days set aside where you can get together with people you like and goof off. ^-^

you know, this day must be hell on people who are allergic to them...

How about day in which I get to have my revenge on the deities at large. That would make me very happy right now. [hobbles off to a corner to cry] God... I'm so glad this day is over.

At least yours was good though. And I swear I'll try to get Kyle and Erik done for you tonight.

Right, going now before I make you feel bad or something...

A room could use something to brighten it up, something to give it life, so why not just take one from each bouquet; no one will ever notice. ::grin:: Then just snag a chocolate from each box…
