maderrI almost didn't keep reading it, because sometimes the writing style really really really makes you want to your roll your eyes in that notamused way.
But other times it's rather good, so I've stuck with it. I love the goblins, and despite his tendency to wax badpoetic in his damned canticles, Galen is a pretty cool hero. He has that whole "Why the fuck do I have to do this? That's it, all you bitches are dying. Slowly." snarky hero thing I like. And his cohorts are unique.
So it just goes to show the ridiculous cheeziness can be tolerated if the story and chars are good enough.
Though I still really hate the fairies...
Oh yeah, the book is Mystic Warrior: Book One of the Bronze Canticles
