I never learn, do I?
Mar. 25th, 2005 01:50 pmNote to self: Paycheck does not equal go blow money on books.
I have more books than I keep up with, and that's really bad for me. On top of the five I bought today, I've got three (four?) my mom sent me recently. (Crichton, Williams and Koontz. Woo hoo!)
Oh! But I bought an *awesome* edition of the The Tale of Genji today. Saw it all alone on the very bottom shelf and simply had to save it from its loneliness. In addition to that, I was weak and bought Light Before Day by Christopher Rice, jOryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood (who is mad awesome), The Turn of the Screw just because, and The Best of Fantasy 2004 because I saw Neil Gaimen.
Also have like four? other books that I have yet to read.
I tell people at the office, when they marvel at my having a new book or walking in with five new ones, that books are my One True Love. They laugh, because they think I'm joking...
