...I'm not sure if they're being horribly clever or just horrible. So are corpses normally not celibate?

“And how were you planning to explain to Dad why we needed a blanket to go jogging?” Frank asked pointedly.
“Well, we’re doing it on our knees, then. We can explain getting mud on our legs, but not on my back.”
“That’s fine.”
And apparently Fenton is an alcoholic. Did I miss that somewhere in the cannon Hardy Boys?
Jeez, that's only the first few lines. Dare I figure out why the corpse is celibate as opposed to active?
