Conned Sarah into buying the trilogy, and have started reading them again.

Still totally, utterly, completely in love with this series. Oh man, if they ruin the movie you are going to hear my screams of rage all the way in Japan. There will be war.

I got more of those "you've been dipping into the crack jar again, haven't you?" looks from my coworkers because I started raving about what, to me, is one of the coolest characters, one of the coolest aspects of the whole series:

The armored bears. SO COOL. I love them. Will be bouncing in my seat in the theatre just to see them. I was more excited than even Lyra the first time I read this book, and I'm just as excited now reading it for the second time.

I command everyone to read this trilogy. The Golden Compass (Called The Northern Lights everywhere but the US I think), The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass.

That is my fangirling for the morning. Will probably slack off at work making the changes to Statue when Ki-chan sends them my way, and right now I am going to see if I can figure out a title for my Pied Piper rewrite. Though Prisoner is poking at me again as well.

The movie is plagued with problems - namely that the production company (right term?) wants to make it more PC. Meaning, they want to strip the religion from it - which means getting rid of, oh, ninety percent of the book.

And apparently the director quit. They've yet to announce a new one.

I really wish this would be as awesome as LotR. *keeps fingers crossed*
