That my driving motivation in most ficcage is to write something just to prove it can be done (well). Or to write in genres I don't really like to read. Like sci-fi or vampires or superheroes or cowboys. My pyschological profile is, no doubt, highly unflattering. I'll have to ask my brother next time he pops up.

For instance: Yuugioh. Not really a fan, though I don't loathe the manga. Do however vehemently dislike the cartoon. But I was always passingly interested in Kaiba/Jounouchi just because I have a thing for hatred-turned-romantic and those two aren't overly fond of each other.

I know thismuch about the fandom. Yet there are so many bad and mediocre fics about them my urge to write one grows with each badfic I catch myself reading.

Who was I discussing this with? Speaking of which, I haven't forgotten the challenge given me. Tsubasa, yes? I am still pondering it, never fear. It's going to have uberkawaiipuppyo'doom!, I assure you. *grin* Was there supposed to be a dragon as well? This would be so much easier to recall if I hadn't accidently deleted the comments like the moron that I am.

Now I should really get back to writing. The problem is that I know what's going to happen so I'm lazy to actually get around to it. Much love to [livejournal.com profile] rykaine for helping me figure out the problems I was having with it.

*wanders off*

**edit** This totally random commentary on yuugioh was of course brought on by the essay at [livejournal.com profile] ship_manifesto about kaiba/jou. Have I ever mentioned how much I love this comm? It's so much fun. I just wish I had a pairing I shipped enough to write about. Alas.
