maderr: (Sirius & Remus)

Got to talk to [livejournal.com profile] jolena last night, and we fangirled HP for awhile. We've established two, maybe three things:

Sirius is NOT DEAD.
Dumbledore is going to bite it.
Book Six is probably going to destroy us.

We won't even start discussing book seven yet. Anyway, all this talk of HP reminds me I need to go out and buy the paperbacks, for to reread everything before book six arrives. So will probably do that Friday.

NOT DEAD.

Sorry, but he's dead. Dead dead. That's what he gets for showing off and taking his enemy too lightly. You fool around in a wizard's duel, you pay the price. XP

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

It was too quick, too easy, and there's no body. I am in complete denial until I am hit with the proverbial brick. XD

If I've learned anything from Marvel comic books, it's that the person isn't dead unless you see the body, and, even then, sometimes they come back due to time warps, alien species, and good old-fashioned science.

...Sirius is not dead.

First Rule of Anime as well: No body = no death.

OF course, when we're proven horribly horribly wrong, Maile is going to point and quietly snicker XP

First Rule of Role-Playing: Never leave a body to resurrect.

So I think we could both possibly be right.

Lol. I think you may be right.

HE'S NOT DEAD. No body, no dead.

Besides, that's stupid. Azkaban couldn't break him but suddenly he falls through a curtain and he's "dead"? I don't think so.

Thanks <3 For my next trick I will do "Ron does NOT like Hermione! He likes Harry!!111"

Siriusly, though, she left it reeeeeally open there. He so could still be alive.

No way! Harry/Draco 4Evah!!!

Siriusly, though

*groan* If you were I'd thwack you. But yeah, he's alive. I refuse to be mature and accept his death.

Totally dead. Deader than a doornail. Not even an Obi-Wan/Yoda-like appearance in the making.

Agreed 100% on Dumbledore.

Also, agreed on the destruction.

See, this whole death in the 6th book thing? I think it's going to be Draco. I've been told that my reasoning is shit, but here we go:

JKR said that the hint to who would die in book 6 was hinted at in the third movie.

In PoA the novel, and later on in OotP, they feed Buckbeak dead rats. It's very clear, as they say multiple times, that they feed him rats.

In PoA the movie, they feed Buckbeak dead ferrets. Again, they say many times, very clearly, that these are dead ferrets, not rats, and they have the visual to go along with it.

Why would they change rat to ferret? There's no good reason for it, that I can see, at least. Your average sized ferret is biger than your average sized rat, yes, but not much bigger than a large rat. Plus, rats are a more gruesome image to begin with, and more typically the thing you feed a carnivorous animal. Rats, mice, etc, etc...

But they emphasize the fact that Buckbeak is eating dead ferrets. Through a simple euclidian proof:

Draco = Ferret
Ferret = Dead

Therefore: Draco = Dead

Which makes me so. fucking. worried. You see, Draco also = teh lurve.

Basically. I'm expecting great, obnoxious, YOU LITTLE WEASEL things from Draco. None of this tacky death shit.

I agree.

His death was a bit too... mysterious. So I am quite sure that there still has to be something. And I will not stop believing!

And even if book six was horrible, I could never stop reading anyway.

So. Not. Dead.

Dumbledore, however, will be. (In fact, my mom, who I gossip HP over with, agrees with me that we thought Dumbledore was the one who was going to die in Book 5.)

The whole destruction of my soul is my sole (wow, unintended pun) reason that I'm wary over Book 6. Even though I pre-ordered it, and I'm going to read it front-to-back the day I get it.

I've been certain of Dumbledore's death since the first book. I was stunned he surveved 5.

I'm picking it up at midnight and reading until I finish.

I don't know why I fought so hard to keep from reading the damned series. That first summer up here really opened my eyes. I suppose I owe you for that.

From the moment I finally condescended to read the damned books, I knew Dumbledore was dead. I will forever and always hold true to the belief that Sirius is so entirely not dead. And I anticipate the breaking of my mind that Book 6 is bound to bring about.

There's just no way around it. And as I discovered last night, I'm a glutton for torture. (You might have noticed...) Let the destruction begin.

I'm with you! Sirius isn't dead. No way, no how! It's too easy of a take down.

Hell yeah about Dumbledore. Dumbledore actor dies and that is your hint in the third movie!

Sirius Lives!

First of all, if Rowling is copying LotR half as much as everyone claims she is, Sirius is most certainly not dead, because how many times did characters "die" in those books, only to mysteriously return later?

Gandalf: Ack! I am slain!
Everyone else: NOOOOOO!!!
Gandalf: *about two hundred pages later* Just kidding, bitches.
Everyone else: Oh, okay.

So, unless Sirius is the Boromir of Harry Potter, we don't have anything to worry about.

Besides, he fell through a fucking veil. I don't know about you, but I've never seen anyone die before from falling through some mysterious curtain, unless it was from a room in a five story building. No body, no death. End of story.

I really don't care what anyone else says. JK was just bluffing in all those interviews.

This is a really long response to say a really simple thing.

I agree. :D

My money is all on Sirius coming back to life, but then dying again for real. I think that would be pretty awesome.

Actually, that could happen again in the 7th book, too. That would be ideal.
