For all that I love coffee, I don't make it all that well. But lately I've been getting better - maybe because I make it every morning now instead of only sometimes.

Plus I found an awesome creamer. Usually I just use plain half n half, but I finally found a cream that's just hazelnut. Not French Vanilla Hazelnut, Not Hazelnut Cinnamon (though they have those as well), just Hazelnut. Which is like one my favoritest things ever.

So today's coffee is pretty damn good. So coffee and nice weather and I got lots of sleep means?

Time to write!

*edit* of course, this would be loads easier if I could find my damn notes or remember the names I needed. Oh! I could just look them up again. Where did I put my kanji dictionary?

[livejournal.com profile] hakuyama uses fancy pants Land O Lakes Gourmet half and half. It's pretty darn good in other things too, like cocoa and creamed potatoes.

LOL!That's what I used before I found my hazelnut stuff...land o'lakes anyway. I don't know if it was gourmet.

I'll have to try it in cocoa and potatoes, those both sound really yummy.

<3!

I always forget the names I wanted to use, and have to end up finding more. The sad part is that I tend to use the same names repeatedly. :P What can I say? I have no originality.

Need help with Chinese-type characters? *wry*

It's just I wrote down the names for Raiden's dead lover and his twin. I *think* I'd done something with 'high tide' and 'low tide' but there's something I'm forgetting about it. Ah, well.

I don't have any originality either. All the authors I see are making languages and shit up - I just borrow from established ones. If anyone bothered to look up the names in Treasure, they'dve figured out the whole thing in five minutes flat >_

*patpat* Raiden's dead lover? O_O His twin? O________________O Would those be among Kyo's ancestors? Good luck finding them though.

I figured Raiden translates to, what, 'God of thunder'? It was the only one I grinned at and kinda recognised. The others I didn't really go think about them, I s'pose. But whoever bothered to look up the names in Treasure would spoil the fun for themselves. :P

Lol. 'Kanchou' and 'Manchou' are it. There's still something I'm forgetting...

"Island of Thunder" and I tried not to use it, but I've always really liked the name and it seemed to suit him so *shrug*

of course creamer is only one step toward being a true coffee snob...

I like a Kona-blend, fresh ground. And I also prefer the old fashion percolator over drip any time. And since I am forced to use regular half and half right now (which is nothing like the sweet cream of Land o Lakes gourmet) I am adding just a hint of carmel. Also use cold bottled water.

hehehehehehehe

Regarding the making of coffee, seeing that I worked at Starbucks, I have the following tips:

1. Check if your coffee is ground the right size for your coffee maker as in for paper filter, metal filter, coffee press, etc.
2. Fresh, filtered water makes better tasting coffee
3. Ground coffee will go stale 7 days after you open the package, so make sure you buy the amount you would use in a single week. Whole beans will go stale after a month, so it would be more economical to grind your own coffee.
4. Proportion of coffee grind to water - 2 Tbsp. per six ozs. of water

For really great tasting coffee, I recommend using a coffee press. You can get one for really cheap and it takes only 6-7 minutes to make your coffee.
