Death to everyone
Nov. 9th, 2003 11:50 pmSo I get home after a night of trying to repress my homicidal longings in regards to a fellow coworker, to find a message from my darling brother informing me he has purchased a game for which I have been longing: FF XI.
IT'S NOT FAIR!!!!! Grrrrr.....He will die. Slowly.
This woman knows her stuff, she's more or less good at what she does. But she knows she's good, and she thinks that means she can talk down to everyone else. Nevermind that being a manager at Wendy's or what the fuck ever doesn't mean you can walk over the vets at LC. And save for one other, I'm the oldest (and best, goddammit) assistant manager on the staff. I don't need some 40 year old ex-army dog telling me how to do a job I can do in my damned sleep.
That's not my biggest problem though. My greatest peeve - the one for which I contemplate whether she'd go better with pepperoni or sausage when I run her through the oven - is the way she treats the crew and drivers. Basically like they're scum. She yells at them, criticizes them, talks down to them and constantly derides them. Nevermind that half of them are excellent workers and getting better all the time (especially the one that's become my sort of protege), since they're only lackeys they're not worth shit. The drivers are subjected to even worse treatment. God forbid anyone to anything wrong. That puts you on her blacklist. I hate it. I spend more time calming and soothign people than I do actually working. It's no wonder they think I'm so great, when you see what I'm compared to. It's real damn sad when a worker comments that you're the only manager they ever see doing dishes and stuff. Is there a reason all the "difficult" workers never give me problems? Why yes, I think there might be. I TREAT THEM LIKE THEY'RE HUMAN.
End rant.

Date: 2003-11-10 03:24 pm (UTC)Oh yeah - I found a really cheap one the other day, but it means I'll be leaving on the 15th instead of the 17th. Is that okay? (I mean, I doubt you care overmuch, but...) And speaking of THAT, email me a list of what you want to see/do so I can start putting an itnerary together.
