Thank the gods. It's been a long fucking week.

One small perk to the new site - we get to wear jeans on Friday. I hate work clothes, I never feel like myself in them and I despise that feeling. Jeans make for a happy Megan. It's the small things in life.

Speaking of small things, my cat decided to puke in my room last night (and Kyo ruined my khakis night before last). And I mean all over my room. He decided standing still was too damn easy and ran in a fucking circle. So I've got puke all over my new comforter, some towels and a few articles of clothing. Why was all this stuff on the floor? Because I still don't have a dresser. Yay for a billion loads of laundry to do now.

Yargh.

On the upside, finished A Mankind Witch last night. Awesome book. Erik and Manfred are some of my all time faves and I loved Cair to bits and pieces (and hello, was that tension I sensed b/t Erik and Cair? Certainly not a lasting thing but still...). I cannot pimp the Heirs of Alexandria series enough. The degree to which I love these books is probably less than entirely healthy. But they're awesome and the next one needs to come out right now. Sammie, I'll send it to you when I send the other stuff, if you like. I need someone to fangirl with me.

Speaking of which, need a new book to read at lunch today. Let us peruse the 'to read' shelf. Or maybe I'll just read Shadow of the Lion again, I really have a need for more Erik and Manfred.

Also, speaking of Cair - I suddenly badly need pirate fiction in my life. Smexy Corsair pirate fiction. Between A Mankind Witch and the PotC music that keeps playing on winamp, definitely have a craving for pirates. Luckily I know nothing about ships so my writing it is severely unlikely.

And I think I'm going to watch PotC tonight. What would be a good premise for pirate slash?

mmm... Erik. I really need to sit down and read This Rough Magic. 'Course that would now require finding it first...

Bring it on!

Ooh, I didn't even know Shadow of the Lion had a sequel. I did like that book. Is it in paperback? XD

I think A Mankind Witch is a side-story or some sort. The sequel to Shadow is This Rough Magic, and I guess there're supposed to be one or two more following it. Meg would know better than I, but I do believe that's what she told me...

Yep Yep ^_^ Shadow, then Magic, and there are two more planned. Manking takes place b/t Shadow and Magic and is a sidestory about Erik and Manfred.

I believe your clothing is being hazed.

Most colleges have tried to outlaw that.

Except of course, for Hazing U.

I really only like Lackey when she writes with other people.

*sheepish* not all that fond of lackey overall... think her bardic voices was one of the few i like and a couple of books here and there ^^ valdemar never spoke to me for some reason... i haven't seen her collabs before though....

I read her Valdemar books but except for the two that are about a guy that isn't Valdemarian I can't say I really love them. I get fed up about a quarter through, read the end and move on to something else. But when she writes with other people, she generally does much, much better.
