A good day at work???
Nov. 13th, 2003 05:37 pmSounds odd, but it's true. I even worked with Ms. Know it all and she was great. I have to be honest and say that it really was a lot of fun working with her today. She's much easier to deal with when she's not in charge (I was manager today, and I'll give her further props for not minding that someone less than half her age is in charge).
Anyway, the shift went beautifully. Dough was done by about one, and after that it was just the easy, routine stuff. The last half hour or so we did absolutely nothing. Of course, this has its downsides.
Namely that everyone decided it was "Make fun of Megan and Duc Day." For those that don't know, I like to give people hell. Harass, tease, threaten bodily harm, whatever. It's all in fun, and it's just how I socialize or whatever. Most people just harass me back. Others just ignore me, a rare few act like asses about it. But it's rare to find someone that will go toe to toe with me (especially guys), and Duc does. He's a fellow assistant manager, and we spend our shifts giving each other hell. I give everyone else hell to, so I don't see why this is noteworthy, but the rest of the crew has taken this to mean that we should be married. Or at least dating (nevermind there's a policy against that). The head manager herself said that "we'd be good for each other." I'm utterly confused by all this (and I really sound like a fourteen year old posting all this, but I really am counfounded).
Anyway, I thought a few of my rl friends would be amused by this - they may be further amused to know that he's Asian (Vietnamese - it sounds really cool when he's talking to his brother on the phone. I love Asian languages).
Blech, I have a million things I should be doing right now. If you're hoping to see on messenger or whatever, you won't. I get way too distracted talking to certain friends overseas. I actually have tomorrow off, and I plan to use it to finally catch up on Nanowrimo, maybe write a couple of fanfics (suiko III, and start the DMC I owe for secret santa). Then there's my grad school app, a thank you email to Krebs, Europe to plan, letter to Lucas...blargh.

Re: Asian Pizza Man
Date: 2003-11-13 11:19 pm (UTC)He is cute, I won't lie. But I'm pretty sure his family is the sort where he won't date any but another Asian, ya know? I had an Egyptian-born friend in highschool, he was the same way. Only muslim girls.
I suck at this shit too, that's why I'm confounded by the whole situation.

Date: 2003-11-14 12:29 am (UTC)That blows about dating him. Poo. Well, that's pretty common... I mean, I think my parents would shoot me if I didn't date an Episcopalian. So far I'm doing pretty well in that department. :) j/k they're not that bad.
I have to shit. I am SO BLOATED. okay...tmi.
