actually feels like a saturday
May. 3rd, 2003 08:42 pmStarted off the day with the Amani Festival waking me up at six o'fucking clock a la bagpipes and drums, but once that died off I went gleefully back to sleep until about eleven or so. I know, I'm lazy. But hell, pretty soon it'll be slaveland (read: reality) for me, so fuck it.
Then it was sports emporium. Go-karts rock my world. Then it was a vicious air hockey rematch, I lost big time. Then the rock climbing wall, where I freakin' ruled, that's right! The go-karts again, fun despite the asshole "expert" racers that decided to try and shove me around and shit. Then laser tag, omg did that fuckin' rock. I love getting rid of all that pent up energy.
Then it was a day in the park with buddies Mel and Lucas. We've discovered this gorgeous, old house and have decided to each write a story around it. We're setting up a yahoo group and everything, just to continue this escapade past graduation-which is approaching way too fast.
The day was nearly perfect, ruined only by a looming feeling of guilt that there was some form of schoolwork I should be doing, nervousness over my thesis presentation on Wednesday, and the fact that I can't do any drinking tonight. But, that last one is eased somewhat by recalling the reason I can't drink tonight:
TOMORROW I'M GOING SKYDIVING!!!
