*blinks* I read the first two my freshman year in high school. (MDG and TL)
And they are damn good stories. Those are the ones where five-ten-fifteen years after reading 'em, you still think on them. I just really loved the twists at the end.
*hearts* Thanks for the links. I'm gonna have to go off and read that third one now...
I love the The Lady or the Tiger (they have the title wrong on that page, I didn't notice 'til now.), I can't wait to see what you think. Part of the reason I was thought to be so weird in school was that I absolutely loved those stories when everyone else either hated or didn't understand them.
The Lottery was never really one I cared all that much for. Something about it just... bothered me. I did like that other one, about the kid who comes home every day, telling his mother about some bully? Charles or whatever?
The Lady or the Tiger basically tore my class in twain. ^_^
I remember Charles or whatever it was called, I don't really remember either. I thought the kid was pretty clever, though he got found out in the end didn't he? I should try to find that and read it again, I barely remember it.
I read the first two in school, too ^^; I don't remember which grade but they were both in the same textbook. I reread the first one today because I couldn't remember how it ended. I LOATHE the Lottery. It does what it's supposed to do and it makes a good point but it bothers me and I had to read it at least 3 times in school and I have no desire to read it again ^^;
I'll read the last one later. It doesn't sound familiar, so it might be new ^^.
I remember my class through a fit over the story. They were of the mind "why would anyone write that?" "what's the point". heh Horrified classes are the most interesting, I think. At least you know they're paying attention. ^_^
Loved three, was spooked by two, and I've seen one before a while ago. Lady or the Tiger is still an interesting debate that I have on occasion with people. It's so easy to be a devil's advocate for either side.

I know what I would have picked, but either way....no happy ending for either. ;_;
