Oct. 11th, 2005 01:19 pmThis is the jacket I really really want. Kinda pricey, but not too bad - I had remembered it being worse. This is the fleece lined style, they've also got just flannel. I'm not sure which would be better. Probably flannel, because the fleece would get too hot most of the time? Dunno. I want a jacket that's pretty good most of the winter, because I won't need my parka all the time (though I love that thing dearly, mmmm cozy and warm even when you have to trek ten blocks into the wind to file a complaint). Opinions? I won't be buying it anytime soon, but if I can scroung the fundage I probably will get it in Nov/Dec sometime. Probably the chocolate color, though I really really like that blue.
Speaking of Nov. Maile, what times should I look at? Is later better? Crap, did I keep the email that had the airport in it? I'll probably buy the ticket with my next paycheck.
I seriously need a break. I seem to be in a burned out Fuck You All mode this week, though I'm fighting it pretty hard. Writing helps with that, but I don't get to write until I get home.
All right, since I can't write it's time to make notes. I really really need them for Prisoner if I'm actually going to attempt Nano (work willing, though they're so busy correcting their fuckups I doubt we'll be pulling those 90 days before this time next year).
Right. Done now.

Date: 2005-10-11 05:42 pm (UTC)But then again, I haven't ever tried to buy a coat from them, so I don't know. Fleece is probably v. good for you, and companies often tell you what temp their coats are good to. :)

Date: 2005-10-11 06:09 pm (UTC)And I really don't mind helping out, you know. Because they are saying prices on flights are going WAY up for the holidays, so we have to start looking soon.

Date: 2005-10-11 06:31 pm (UTC)I looked on Travelocity, and tickets from Dayton to BWI for November 24 to November 27 are about $248. Availability will probably be an issue.

Date: 2005-10-11 08:12 pm (UTC)Well I don't know if it'd be any cheaper to go out of CVG. These days it's about the same no matter where you go. Also I don't know if leaving here at some strange hour will get you a better price but it may be worth a try.
And I don't know if AmTrack or Grayhound would be any cheaper but we have terminals for both here.
M I can drop you off at home before I hit Meijer if you want to call Maile.

Date: 2005-10-11 08:35 pm (UTC)I'm beginning to wonder about going out early Friday instead. Fares might be a bit lower. Panels and things don't start until around noon anyway, so that gives some time.

Date: 2005-10-11 08:24 pm (UTC)Is tomorrow good? Because it looks like I'm working late and then running all over creation tonight. Any particular time? And tell me how to pronounce you're name, b/c I'm suddenly paranoid I don't actually know.

your SN is easy to pronounce... mine is easy if you know classical Latin.

Yours is Aww-dax-fem-ee-na, yes?

Date: 2005-10-12 02:06 am (UTC)Yeah, and correcting my students lab reports has made me see every flaw in typed material... EVERYWHERE. One of them seems to lack basic knowledge of the verb tenses and number. And she speaks English just fine.

Date: 2005-10-12 02:11 am (UTC)No, you only get comments when I'm not at work or on the phone. Though now I feel bad. I never comment like I should, do I? =\ I will begin to redeem myself.
But yes, that really was inviting more trouble.

It's okay. I have 20+ people on my f-list and jo-chan & stardance are about the only ones who comments with some regular frequency. You're not alone in the not-commentingness.

Date: 2005-10-11 06:16 pm (UTC)Don't fight it. It'll just be that much worse when/if you finally snap. If nothing else, just call me and yell and rave until you feel better. Or however you want to handle it. I know how that goes.
And yeah, take a break. Everyone needs a break, and it's been a while--a good long while--since you had a real one. Enjoy. ^_^

Date: 2005-10-11 09:08 pm (UTC)I love the blue, but it wouldn't match everything. Chocolate would go better. And they had better not do a damn thing. *shakes head* I love my parents. Is dad feeling better?
^_^

Date: 2005-10-11 10:29 pm (UTC)I do believe I said chocolate would go just fine.
He seems to be feeling better. After all he just shut on the TV without first asking me to shut off what I had functioning on my comp. Also didn't notice my not so subtle observation to that effect.

Date: 2005-10-11 10:31 pm (UTC)Fracking yank them away from the comp if they do.
Sorry, was more thinknig aloud. Heh ^_^
Yes, well. We all know men and tv.
