Well, yes, probably. It's one of CLAMP's older works though, so it probably isn't as pretty as their new/more recent stuff.

...Unless, of course, that kind of style appeals to you. (I like it. ^^;;)

Isn't it though? I suppose it's a happy ending, sort of, since they get to be together... But it's one of those endings that make me want to cry even though it's sort of happy.

I think it kind of boils down to:

Ashura's wish ---that Yasha be brought back to life--- cannot be granted, and so he asks Yuuko (did I spell her name right?) to grant his wish that they be gods together, or something similar (my manga's downstairs. I'm telling you the story as I remember it. ^^;;;;;;;; I can check it again if you want) and the price is both their swords.

Ashura looks so... mournful and anguished and resigned and lonely when he's holding Yasha's sword. T____________T

Anyway, when Syaoran-tachi get back to the "present" of that world, they find that there's no longer the split between the two factions. The master and mistress of the two groups are having their marriage ceremony, actually. The god-statues are side by side and no longer produce antics.

That's the gist of it, I think?

For Yasha to be brought back to life? (and I may not be around much after this, b/c I start work in four minutes and all the big guys are coming in today = getting caught on net VERY BAD THING).

Um, the Yasha we see is basically a vision/illusion, formed from the feather. He died, of sickness, as far as I can tell. Before that, Ashura managed to strike him, leaving a gash/scar over one eye, which is Ashura started sensing that something was wrong. And a short while after that, Yasha visited Ashura in Ashura's castle, which more or less told Ashura that Yasha was dead, because when alive they're bound to their castles, and are unable to go to the other's.

But of course, Ashura was hoping he was wrong, probably one reason why he looks so sad and so solemn everytime he sees the Yasha we see from the beginning of the arc. T__________T
