lol, cool. I went to a panel on LARPing at the last Animethon, and thought it was a neat idea. I doubt I'd do it myself anytime soon, but power to those who do. :)
We ran into a bunch of guys doing that when we went on a hike through Tsaritsina one morning. Sasha said in the Spring, when the whether's warmer, they can amass groups that are like 100 on 100. They did it out there because it was a decent metro ride outside Moscow, heavily wooded, and contained the random, ruins of an unfinished palace.
They were decently decked out, too. This one guy actually had a wrap made out of wolf skin--like the head was still there and everything--and this other chick had a hawk on her arm. Seriously. It kept trying to fly away.
They commenced to battle and put on a show for the American Students at Sasha's request. It was really cute. ^_^
As I said, Tsaritsina is where the unfinished palace that Catherine II started but never completed (due to suspicion of Mason activities amongst her builders) is. I think that has to do with it. But yes, it has to do with Tsar in any case.
“Despite the geek with the bowtie stereotype, I have everyone from hardcore street roughnecks to goth chicks to lawyers in my game,” he says. “I’m not going to say there aren’t some serious geeks out there, but you do have people of all walks of life. One of the most famous gamers out there is Vin Diesel. I’d like to see someone walk up to him and tell him he’s a dork.”
