Could not find my dad's beer :(

They were out of the wine I wanted for my mom :(

*sniffle* I FAILED.

But I got that other thing we discussed, Sip. You know. And rice, daddy. The BIG bag ^_^

Sorry about the b00ze. I tried.

And if the gifties are really going to upset peeps, then I won't worry about them. I know we said no gifts this year - but I was excited I had monies. But I'll leave them here and scrap the whole deal if y'all prefer. Just lemme know ^_^

Gifts given from the heart are nothing to be ashamed over. I spent $4.75 to mail a $5 stuffed reindeer to my Aunt, just because I thought it would make her smile. Probably why I loved our whole Secret Santa thing at work, too. They might be just silly little cheapie presents, but getting them can really brighten someone's day. Plus, it's fun to hear (secondhand) their reactions.

And even when someone is flat broke, the tiniest of things can still say "I love you." Growing up, my family had pretty much nothing, but still Daddy would come home with a little ring or third-hand stuffed animal fished out of the dumpster behind a thrift store, and we'd treasure them. Because he was thinking of us. In fact, I still have the stuffed animal (It was a popple, Pancake, I think, and minus her tail) and all of the rings from those years. The fact that we were broke and I know we were broke only makes it all the more special. I was loved. And I think your family knows you love them too.

And, yeah. We have our tiffs and I'M GOING TO KILL YOU moments, but I would not trade my family for anything.

Though when my brother gets his gift, we're going to have one of those KILL moments *evil giggles*

I had a popple, i don't remember his name now. He got de-tailed too ^_~ Maybe that makes us popple cousins or something.
