Anyway. Samantha went all grammar-nazi and once ki-chan emerges to catch whatever Sammikins might've missed, you will get story.

So some explanation, because Cookie is a h0r and no one but she and the betas knows this verse.

Two of the chars - Leland and Byron have a story of their own which establishes the verse. To those who worship comics/super heroes in general, I apologize profusely. My attempts are butchery. It doesn't really come up in this particular plotless story, but the first one did relate. What you need to know: Super heroes take care of the "big problems" but small things are 'beneath' them. There was one hero, called 'The Minder' (called the Babysitter by "real" super heroes) who dealt with petty thieves and stuff. Byrons' family was also one of super heroes -- except Byron, who is completely normal. What you really need to know is that the organization they're working against, the DeVine Corporation, is a powerful company that is secretly responsible for a lot of the problems super heroes face (again, something that comes up not at all in the new story -__-;;;) - but a good number of the people who run DeVine are super heroes or directly tied to them. So, essentially, a lot of super heroes are also villians. Leland and Byron both have extremely personal grudges against them, and actually met when Byron blackmailed Leland into helping him.

If you want to read the story, you'll have to assault talk to thecookietheory. I wrote it for SMP and she's asked me not to share it, alas. Beyond that, tell me if you want to know more.

Story up some time tomorrow, possibly later since I know ki-chan is busy slacking writing her paper.

Well... ^^;; It just... fits... well, it does if you've ever met my cat, who is nearly 10, I think, and still thinks she's a little baby kitty. ^^; So every time you call rykaine that, I picture... little black fluffy baby kitty with big kitty eyes and a sparkly rhinestone collar. ^^;;;
