I think I may actually be sick. I'm allergic to the pizza flour at work, I had thought that's what was making me sneeze and crap all day, but I've taken my allergy medicine and I seem to be getting worse, not better. GODDAMMIT TO FUCKING HELL AND BACK.

In addition to that, we're supposed to be getting some nasty weather this weekend, which means if it doesn't clear out my flight on Tuesday make get royally fucked over. What a beautiful week this is.

Before I forget again: I don't know how many of you are into rant sites - I've recently become fond of [livejournal.com profile] fandomcliche and [livejournal.com profile] fanficrants. But [livejournal.com profile] minni made the observation that there is no place to rant about bad slash and yaoi. That has been remedied: [livejournal.com profile] badyaoi. Come join, spread the word, etc.

I'm sneezing so hard my throat hurts, and my nose feels like a drippy faucet. I FUCKING HATE BEING SICK.

Almost better, thanks.

I don't care if it snows up there, just so long as it stays the hell away from NC.

All right! A chance to try my nursing education out! (A disclaimer: I am only a nursing student; I may not get this correct.)

I have assessed the client, given the symptoms she feels as she has outlined in her above post.

I have diagnosed the problem as such:
A body can sneeze and still feel bad from flour even
without an allergy. The flour irritates the nasal mucosa (which causes dripping), irritate the sinuses and lungs, trigger sneezing reactions, and gives one a headache and uncomfortable feelings.

My nursing intervention would be to remove the client from the environment to allow clearance of her lungs and nasal mucosa and the chance to recover. Stay away from smoke, especially that of cigarettes, and car exhaust, since both will aggravate the problem.

The client will have to carry out my implementation by going off to Europe.

I shall reevaluate her on her return. (Or something.)

(Weee!)

Who does enjoy being sick?

At least I'm finally NOT sick, and damned if I want to spend any more time in another frickin hospital. You have any idea how fucking hard it is to sleep with a damned IV in your arm? I swear, after the first 500mg I thought I was done, but guess what?! I wasn't! Instead of another 500mg bag the nurse throws on a 1000mg bag, reminds me I'm NPO(I can't eat or drink ANYTHING) and then wishes me well.

On a positive note I got a nurses number, too bad she's my mother's age with kids and a husband. Along the same lines I made a shit load of allies in the medical profession, just goes to show how much a sense of humor when you're vomiting out your lungs and the sense to say ma'am and sir can win people over.

Food is good. In fact, I'm gonna go eat more, just because I finally can.

Gee, someone's feeling happy. I'm sorry - I certainly can't compete with that. If it makes you feel any better darling brother, I worried to death about you. The image of you in a hospital was a disturbing one. At least it didn't have dead dogs and nurses with butcher knives.

You're such a wannabe player

I'm figuring you being allergic to flour is somewhat akin to me being allergic to Latex in my line of work. Somewhat hazardous to one's health. I agree with the nursing diagnosis, that you must therefore distance yourself from all such bad influences. Flying across the pond ought to be just far enough to work. ;->

Then across the pond I shall go!

Unless of course, they stop me before I can board the f'ing plane...
