Today was my day off, I had plans to start packing and then write out my DMC fic and the rest of IW. Instead I spend it all drugged out on Nyquil. *throws shit around*

I'm kinda sorta feeling better, but lord only knows. Everyone else that caught this at work was sick for the better part of two weeks. If I can't go to Europe b/c I'm sick Hell itself will tremble at my wrath.

Jump-start your immune system! This is a handy-dandy little homeopathic trick: Take a shower. When you first begin, make sure the water is as hot as you can bear it. Stay there until you get used to it, and then turn the water to the coldest you can stand it. When you get used to it, turn the water up to the hottest you can stand it. Then lower the temperature again. Keep repeating until your skin is nice and pink and the cool water doesn't feel half-bad. What this does is it shocks your immune system into working much faster than it normally does. The flu that's been going around is quite a nasty strain and the normal immune system normally takes four or five days before it finally reacts to the illness. *insert long spiel about immune system having to recognize invaders and the B cells need to martial together*

I don't know much about shocking your immune system... but a whole hell of a lot of sleep and some Orange Juice will most certainly be good for you. (Particularly the sleep, though I'm not the first to say that, obviously.)
