I love these stories to death. I wish I could write characters like this. I do petty snark, but nothing of this caliber, alas. These two kill me dead. If you're looking for much laughter and much hotness, I have your hook-up (though I'm sure several of you have read these before):

Minimum Wage

Time-out!

Foul Play

Back to the battle with fairytale. I swear, I am sucking it up the further I go X_x Ah, well. I am the writer. Ultimately I will reign supreme. Though not if I keep reading those stories and depressing myself over my own lack of skill.

Also, I would cheerfully kill or worse for a good bottle of red wine right now. This white wine crap is for sissies. But better a good white wine that a mediocre red...

Not to sound overly critical or whatever, but I'm not seeing the caliber. It's mostly coming off as conjangled rambling and imprecise sentence phrasing. I can't keep track of what's going on through all the goddamned rambling in the sentence structure. O_o

Heh. It's the rambling I like. Colin is so snarky and bitchy, and Matthew cracks me up. I lov the flow of it, Colins' bitchy, not very smooth thoughts and all. I could never do it, I'm too...not that disjointed. Plus the story is short but manages a lot. I manage a lot less in my almost thirty pages of cheezy fairytale.

I have to say I disagree. I'm not seeing snarky. It reminds me of reading stupid stream of consciousness shit. It's a lot of wandering and meandering, but at the end of the paragraph I still have no idea what the hell is going on or what I just read.

Honestly, it was giving me a headache. It's not even that it's disjointed, it's just too rambly and cluttered. There is a lot being said, maybe, but I found myself getting lost in the phrasing and the structure to be able to make much use of it.

*shrug* I'll stop bashing and destroying your likes now. It just... from the way you were describing it, it wasn't what I'd expected to be reading.

Heh. Every now and then I'm reminded I have really weird taste. I guess this is one of those times. Maybe it's that I like stream of conscious when it's not long and boring and Deep? I dunno, this story amuses the hell out of me.

But ty agrees with you so obviously I'm the odd man out ^_~

Oh! I tried to buy that Chicken little song we like, but it's one of itunes stupid 'with album only' so maybe I can buy the whole thing come payday.

.... I like yours better. :P The present-tense drove me absolutely batty. x.x There were a few good moments, such as the part about the tiara, but on the whole you write just as good moments, and your stories are much easier to read. x.x

Lol. Thanks ^_^ I think it's that flow that I like. I could never managed it, b/c I'd make myself dizzy, but I think she does manage it. Heh. Maybe it's just me.

*doubtful* Hmmm... eh. x.x I liked Colin's snarkyness, but I like your snarky peeps better. Briar comes immediately to mind... ^^ though I know there are more. Oh! Dixie! And Chris! *.* Yeeesssssss....

I'm going to friend you because I love you--
well I love your work, it's funny,
unless it's sad and/or ragefull in which case I am appropriately
solemn and/or amused/appalled.
This was the disclaimer by the way.
Cheers!
(by which I mean to humbly say: I hope you don’t mind me skulking around publicly)

The third story is definitely the best written of the three.

But I have to say, Meggers... You are a much better writer. Period.

I'm very much looking forward to whatever comes next. ;->

Oh, I like these too! I generally don't like bitchy characters but Colin reminds me of how I complain about everything in my head and then say only competent, professional things out loud. Plus, the fact that he got Ray kicked out of school had me on the floor laughing! Thanks for the links so I could reread them again!
