Silent Hill

Always loved the games, even if all I did was watch my brother play and freak out a lot (and try to freak him out, but in my defense I was far more behaved than when I watched him play the second Metal Gear Solid game -- I fell off his bed laughing at the Man Scene in that one. I thought he was going to kill me.)

The movie looks *________* Totally fucking dead on. Was dying to see it anyway, but then I saw the long trailer and realized it has my beloved Sean Bean. BONUS WHEE!

It comes out April 21st. It's the kind of movie I wish I had lots of friends to drag to see. They're always more fun that way, esp. scary movies.

Still. Silent Hill! Sean Bean! Squee!

Ooooo!

I have to admit being a complete CHICKEN when it comes to games. I love them, to pieces but scary ones - I'm hopeless. I walk into town in Silent Hill, find the alleyway, get freaked out, find the cafe. In comes the gargoyle bat thing, and I'm so busy screaming I die. Every time.

Even when playing Tomb Raider I try and look round corners so I don't get a fright...

But if it has SB in it... I may have to go and see the film...

I saw the extended trailer when I saw V for Vendetta, and my roomies weren't quite sure what to do about my anxious elation. None had played the games so they couldn't talk about how cool it was. So I just kinda silently squeeled like a mature-and-very-much-a-man school girl.

Looks like an interesting adaptation of the first Silent Hill(married mother instead of widowed father). Which may or may not be a good thing, since they could box themselves into a plot nightmare. But I think they're gonna do well with it. Seriously, I was totally ansty in my seat when I saw the world start changing around her, and the floor turn to blood-spattered grating!
