Sammie and I are discussing bad descriptions. Like this one story, where a metal can is tossed at a guy's head but the guy 'plucks' it out of the air.

We wandered off topic, b/c we agree that for some reason 'pluck' sounds like a dirty word.

Am I bad if I don't see why that's a bad description? I mean, I like the word pluck. Especially if we're talking about flying things suddenly removed from velocity.

Unless he didn't really pluck it and more like... knocked it away.
