Heck, I don't think I ever finished all the requests from the last time I did drabbles. If I didn't do it, and you remember what it was, yell at me and I'll do it now with the other ten the gremlins will demand of me.

Date: 2006-06-27 12:49 am (UTC)Jade painted his nails, though there was little point in doing so these days. He no longer had the clothes to match them to, no one to intimidate, no one to impress, no one to...He shook his head and focused his attention on his nails.
Outside the world was white. Snow and ice mixed together by a wild, bitter wind, turning a dangerous environemnt into the stuff of nightmares.
But his cabin was warm, so secluded it seemed he was the only one alive. Only the howling wind and the hum of his electronics broke the silence.
He'd tried a deep gold first, a shade that matched the highlights of his gold-brown hair. He'd stripped it before he'd finished the first hand. Then'd he'd tried a red as lurid as fresh blood -- always good for intimidating backwater politicians. Violet didn't satisfy either, nor did green.
Finally he'd settled on a color to match his surroundings. A pale blue, so fine it almost shimmered. Emphasized his pale skin, contrasted with his hair, matched the bitterness outside and...
With a rough, bitter sound Jade began to strip the color off, and when his nails were once more plain he selected a bottle of pink.

They def reunite. Happily ever after? Hard to say.
And I love that icon, btw. Oh, team rocket, I had a sekkret love for thee. James, the gayist thing to exist in anime ever.
