For Sammikins and Tygati

maderrI still owe Sammie a better drabble, but she said write her something cute etc. and Tygs wanted Treasure, specifically Kin & Kyo, so here we go:
Kyo contemplated the harbor they were swiftly approaching, expression carefully blank. The wind snatched at his dark violet hair, reminding him of his glamour.
“Not happy to be home?” Kin asked from behind him. His voice was a sleepy rumble, but the arms that slid around Kyo’s waist were sure in what they did. Lips brushed his bare neck, Kin nuzzling, the gesture a surprising one from his rough sailor.
“Hmm…” Kyo murmured noncommittally, more interested in the man pressed against him than his mixed feeling about his homeland. “It looks the same.”
Kin laughed against the back of his neck, breath warm. “You’d be surprised how little and how much things change after a journey…” Kyo couldn’t see his face, but he knew Kin was grimacing. “Though I had not thought to become a god, even at my most fanciful.”
Kyo laughed outright. “Fanciful? Kinni, I cannot see you spending much time on fanciful thought.”
With a soft, growling sound Kin spun him around and kissed him hard. “What then, brat, would you call dreaming day and night of what would come of a promise made as a boy?”
“Terribly sentimental for a tough, snarling sailor,” Kyo said with a smirk.
“Brat.” Kin shook him gently in reprimand.
Kyo reached up to take another kiss, the knowledge that he could still new and strange. He wrapped his arms around Kin’s neck, tugging them even closer together, relishing the way Kin’s mouth tasted of the sea and sky, the way both surrounded them, working to block out the sounds from the harbor, the near-chaos that always seemed to rule the ports. “Kinni…”
“Behave,” Kin said, taking a last kiss and then reluctantly pulling away. “If I’m going to bring us into the harbor, there’s actually a bit of work involved.” He started to turn away, but at the last paused and reached up to catch a strand of Kyo’s hair, dark violet and still cut to his chin. “I liked it better when it was long,” he said briefly, not quite looking at Kyo as he said it, then finally turned away to attend to his ship.
Kyo stared after him, surprised. Their entire journey Kin hadn’t said a single thing about his hair – though he was fond of playing with it. What had brought that on? Perhaps the color change? Kyo turned around to face the approaching harbor again, smiling faintly.

I hope they stay put for awhile. Oh, and tomorrow is going to suck at work, and I don't think I'll get to read BB until tomorrow night. ;_; I can't wait, though! I can't believe it's ending! *sob* Thank God for parts 3, 4 and 5.^^
