Took care of the litter, put my last load of laundry in the dryer, and I am back from grocery shopping! \o/ And I only spent $67.00 on groceries that should last me for a coupla three weeks ^___^

Now I have only to eat, write, and wait for my lazy roommate to rise so we can go see The Black Dahlia.

Two stories for you! One cute, one amusing.

Cute:

I love to just cruise around malls, looking and listening to my music. Did this before hitting up the grocery store, bought a caramel frappiccino for to add to the joy.

Sat down to finish it off before actually going into a few stores, this lady came and sat down on the couch across from me. She had a little boy and girl in a stroller and gave them each a pretzel stick (the big, baked ones from Auntie's something). Anyway, the little girl took a huge bite of her's -- then held it out to me to see if I wanted to share. <<<333 Cutest thing ever. Her mom was laughing, I said she probably just wanted some of what I had - which made her laugh ^__^ Honestly, the little girl was precious.

Funny:

The women in front of me in the grocery store had coupons - a metric fuck ton of them. And she Watched as the poor clerk had to scan them all. Serious - it didn't ring up the way she knew it should, she let him know. I was amazed at how patient he was. Beautiful display of patience and customer service.

When she was finally gone, he smiled at me (I'd been waiting awhile, mind you, though I didn't really mind) and said "No more coupons" and I laughed and asked if that sort of thing happened often. He laughed, shook his head, and said "Only her" in that way that said they obviously had the woman down to an art. It was great. He and the two guys that helped bag my groceries were awesome.

And you know, my sibs and I get laughed at all the time for saying "sir" and "ma'am" to everyone - it's what we say to our parents and so carries over everywhere else. It's as natural as breeathing for us, and I'll never stop because when I said "thank you very much, sirs" to those guys helping me their faces totally lit up. Something so simple shouldn't have had that sort of effect, but it did. So people can laugh at me all they want.

That's my soapbox for the day. Now I am off for food and hopefully to write. I do want to work on stories owed but fairytales and the few het stories on my list (apparently I have now added Abby's story to that list) are also calling to me.

We shall see.

Oh yeah! I bought Southern Comfort whiel I was out, for to try out the new and aweome glass my beloved Sweets sent me.

Yargh I can't wait until my birthday - I so want a camera to play with.

*gasp* Are you calling me lazy?? Just because I've been awake for two hours but haven't had the will to actually get out of bed does not make me lazy.

*glomps* It's fun when morning can be that cheerfully laid back while you still get so much accomplished. ^__^

And there's always good to be had in enjoying the little things and finding the small stuff amusing. ;3

Simple politeness such as please and thank you can get you an awfully long way in today's impolite society. 9.9 It's amazing how many people do a double-take like you're speaking a foreign language...
