First, I have to confess that I bought books today. =_= When will I ever learn? But they all looked so good...and I only bought a small portion of what I actually wanted. I hope Sammikins, who is the only to ever call me out, is not too mad. One was a PA book, if I send that to you with the other stuff I have piled up will I be in less trouble?

Anyway, now that's off my chest, to the movie.

I'm not sure it's a movie everyone would like but I enjoyed it a great deal. It's a happy, sparkly, fangirl squee! type movie, but 'twas excellent.

Murder mystery setting, sort of - based on an actual murder - but that actually is not the central focus of the movie. It revolves around the detectives investigating it, their lives and how all ties back to the murder. As I said, very cool. Slow paced, but not in a dragging sort of way. Set in the 1940's, an immedidate *_* for me (if it's from the late 1800 to mid 1900 I am so very much a happy happy girl), with Josh Hartnett, with whom I'm deeply in love (and not in a fangirly way, I truly have loved this man since I saw him in The Faculty - Sammikins will tell you. Sadly most of his movies I haven't seen b/c I just becasue they never sparked my interest. Thankfully this one was different).

Startlingly violent at points, I think Sarah was about to run screaming from the theatre from the combination of slow, quiet tension then VIOLENCE. Kekeke.

I am trying hard not to spoil, which is why my rambling are so short, but if your'e in the mood for a very good, very visual-pretty movie, then I highly reccommend it.

Now I really do need to get to writing.

I am so glad to learn I am not the only one who adored Josh Hartnett in(and) the Faculty.
