'Tampopo' means dandelion, not butterfly. Butterfly is 'chou'

The funniest part is that I'm pretty certain the writer is making a joke, given that Tampopo is a ramen shop in the story, and if I recall the movie Tampopo correctly, the chick of the same name in that movie wanted to open the Ultimate Ramen Shop.

Cute, clever even, except it doesn't mean butterfly.

Still, hot samurai man. I'll let it slide this time.

Also, Tampopo is a damned funny movie. It makes fun of the Japanese obsession with food. I wish I had it. Parts were somewhat traumatic to my freshmen year self, but it was damned funny. Gomi-chan, do you recall it?

I've seen Tampopo. A friend of mine showed it to [livejournal.com profile] miome and I. It was hysterical. My two favorite scenes are the slurping noodle guy and the salaryman who shows up the head of the company by ordering expensive wine and food.
