My favorite is all the people online going either "He meant George Bush and if you didn't just want to HATE ALL US LIBRULS you'd see that" or "Well, he is right, if you look at the average grunt." Kerry should NOT HAVE SAID THAT no matter what his intentions were.
Exactly. That's the point. It does't matter how he meant it; it didn't sound that way at all. It was tactless, thoughless, rude, and he needs to hire someone to tell him what to say.
He is an Ass, it Does come naturally, and he is a total idiot for making the remarks. The only mistake he made was forgetting that cameras and such were rolling and not everyone thinks he is God's gift to humankind. moron. He does not have a healthy relationship with the military and he honestly believes he is so much smarter than the rest of us. Which explains his lame apology to anyone that "misunderstood" his joke. Ok, he's a fucking joke. We get that sure 'nough.
After calling the soldiers in Vietnam monsters, etc., and helping spur on the movement that still gives a great amount of those soldiers a lot of unneeded hell, he should know never to open his mouth when it comes to the subjects of war and the military. Or 'botched jokes' that can be easily paralleled to his past reputation. How the hell anyone could have elected a traitorous peice of shitturncoat publicly less than reputable man like that... Not that Mass.'s other senator is any better, but at least no one call call Kennedy a traitor to his country and have evidence to back it up.
*pops out of lurker shadows and raises hand* Me not being American, and not particularly interested in American politicians, I haven't the faintest clue what this is about. o-o
"You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. And if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."
And people wonder why as unpopular as Bush has been... he still beat Kerry at the polls. Hmm. Lemme think. Definitely not making me think any better of the lying prevaricating sack of shit.
