Drabbles for
tygati, because we made made a deal. Except I could't decide which idea to go with so I wrote both.
Stowaway
Custom Class Starship 71512400, the El Dorado
"Master Pyotr..."
Pyotr looked up from the dat screen where he was editing a treatise on Heartstone's Law that he was writing for his graduating thesis at Dore University. After that he still had star maps to finish, then the IG Academy debate to prepare for... He stifled a sigh and looked up at the Second Lieutenant frowning down at him in confusion. "Is there a problem?"
"A...stowaway has presented himself to the bridge and informed the officers there that they are quite incompetent for not noticing him before now. He then informed us of several improvements that could be made to the ship and left to go make them. On his way out, he stated that if you needed him, he would be on level 5, room six."
Laughter got the better of him as comprehension immediaetly flooded Pyotr. "Please message down to level 5 that I would love to have Tau Ceti join me for lunch. I will also pay what is necessary to compensate for the extra passenger. Extend my apologies to the Captain. He is a friend of mine; I should have anticpated this. There is no need to worry, however, so long as you keep everyone away from him. You will have a very fine ship when Tau is done." Provided Tau didn't get one of his urges to play a prank or six, but Pyotr thought it best not to say that.
"Yes, sir." The Second Lieutenant turned sharply on his heel and strode from the room.
Shaking his head, Pyotr went back to his work with a faint smile.
Atlantis
Planet 0000000 (Zero), The Palace of Eternity
Pyotr was jerked out of reviewing his meeting notes as he collided with the man in front of him, who had come to an abrupt halt. The buzz of noise and conversation had struck his senses, but as there was no sense of fear or anger in the air he'd put off discerning the cause until he'd sorted through his meetings. Clearly it was time to pay more attention, if traffic was halting.
Stepping to the side, Pyotr wended his way through the crowd until he reached the edge of the famous floor of the grand hall of the Palace of Eternity. Made of special glass, beneath it was a miniature world -- essentially a large scale fish tank filled with millions of points worth of fish, plant life, and decorations that made it seem as though beneath the feet of those in the Palace there existed a seperate, tiny world.
Currently that miniature world was being overrun by mechanical mermen and mermaids, armed with all manner of exotic looking aquatic weaponry. Fish were being put in cages, colorful little flags were being set out...the underwater world was being attacked and colonized. Pytor dragged a hand down his face.
That was it. No more obscure stories from the archives for Tau.
