That was fifty dollars well spent. Though there is some twisted humor here - yesterday at book a million we found every volume of manga we've been looking for (my sister & I), but we only bought two thinking "we can find the rest at B & N and not pay for them" (my gift certificates). Because the B & N we go to has an awesome selection. Unfortunately they had crap today. Ah well, I had an entire bookstore with which to soothe myself.

My sister and I are completely and utterly owned by Robin McKinley, she does a lot of reworked fairytales though my fav stories areThe Blue Sword and The Hero and the Crown. She kicks ass. So most of my money went toward that, and then I also bought another fantasy book and a book of reworked fairytales with a general "dark" them. Have I ever mentioned my obsession with fairytales? Second on my list of Ultimate Obsessions, right after angels.

Also have nearly finished reading Dr. Faustus, which will conclude another chunk of research for one of my WIPs (you can guess which one I think). Added bonus, there's one small part that gives me ideas for a whole new story.

Back to reading now.

DUDE, The Hero and the Crown kicks ass! In fact, I just lent my battered copy of it to a friend of mine to read. :)

That book kicks ass. It's rare I like a female character so much, but Aerin rocks. And I love Luthe, I always wished she'd written a book about him.
