Would like very much to be given a break, please.

Might get to have fun tomorrow night, we shall see.

Am reading The Count of Monte Cristo. One of the coolest fucking books ever written, and if you think seeing any of the movies suffices then I am afraid we're no longer on speaking terms.

Signed up with a site to start doing reviews. In typical I'm a Heinous Bitch fashion, gave the porn they gave me a bad reveiw. Giving it a good review would not have been honest, and I dont't fucking care that her other books got glowing reviews. I know I don't have much going for me, it's been well proven that I'm an idiot and not very likeable, but I do know books. At least I like to tell myself so *sigh*

Am supposed to be working on other things, but Tygati has forced a Distraction upon me.

Really want not to cook. Or even eat. Every day I wake up later and eat less. Ah, well. Up, down, up, down. Story of my life.

Off to write.

>.> I liked the CoMC movie... Edmund Dantes was a sexy, sexy man... *purr*

And I didn't exactly force you, y'know... I just dangled a sparkly in front of your nose and waited for the fishie to bite. ^____^ *pets* Good Fishie. ^.~

O____O When do you find time to sleep, lady? Dude.

The Count of Monte Cristo! The only book they made us read for school that I actually loved. ^_^

You're so not an idiot, you're incredibly likeable, and I, for one, trust your opinions on books. You haven't steered me wrong yet. ^_^

*snuggle hugs* Sandwichs usually don't take a lot of effort? Grilled cheese? Sometimes eating is the thing that makes the depressive moods go away...

Don't let yourself get too stressed out. *huggles* Weekend is only two days away.

Mmmm, Edmond Dantes. So fsking cool, and goddamn do you just feel bad for him and then you're all "fuck, glad I'm not on his shitlist"

<3 Thankee, Sky.

Exactly!! He's all tragic, but he doesn't just roll over and take it. He's not going to wait for karma to do it for him.

But, but they made me laugh! Hysterically so, which was the point, yes? ^____^ Some things are just parodies whether they mean to be or not. XD 'Sides, those were manga, and it's different. ;3 I LOVED The Price of Temptation, Discreet Young Gentleman, and Ransom. ^_^

I just finished 'The Count of Monte Cristo' and I loved that book. M. Faria was my favorite character (though a few others came close). I liked his paternal air and propensity to invent whatever he wanted from odds and ends. But a little bit of Deus ex Machina goes a long way.
I'm sorry you sound so stressed. Life can be a bitch sometimes. But I still look forward to reading whatever you produce.

I read an abridged Count as a wee young thing and loved. I should definitely read the real deal someday.

I was unaware you were not likable. As far as the reviews, people deserve an honest opinion. Some of the porn... not as great as the fangirls seem to think.

Hope you feel better soon! ^_^

Aaahaha! Monte Cristo! I just read that in January! Loooved it. I kept thinking, "This is fan-fucking-tastic prose. Why aren't more books written at this level of prose? Ugh, modern books, bleargh, must read more Monte Cristo."

I love it when reviewers are honest. I review for HarperCollins, Henry Holt, and sometimes ALA. I never give a book a good review if I feel it doesn't deserve it, even if the publisher doesn't like me for it. (Please, please continue to send me free books. Even the crappy ones. Just in case you're reading, oh great ones.)

Not that anyone could tell I review for companies, what with the crappy comments I leave on fp.com and such . . .

I've been talkative this week. I must go back to lurking now . . .

I love The Count of Monte Cristo, and Dumas' work in general; though trying to read it in the original is always a challenge - urgh Old French! But Edmond is lovely, and the only movie that comes close to doing it justice is I think the Depardieu mini-series (though Depardieu is not a bishie anymore, boo!). And Gankutsuou was an interesting take on it, but that's the Japanese for you... Anyway, much love for Edmond! ♥♥♥

Sorry - I feel a little awkward posting a comment on a non-story entry, as I'm technically just a lurker, but I felt the need to put my thought out there.

There is something ver cool you have going for you. a legion of adoring fans. You could probably get most of them to do your bidding. Thus, you have a small army of minions at your call.

Frankly, perhaps this is only my weird logic, but I think that thought should brighten anyone's day. ^____^

But either way, you've seemed down lately, and it makes me kind of sad when people I know/admire are sad, so I wanted to post something at least vaguely cheer-up like. Love and good wishes from the random people and such ^^;
