Maybe one day one of them will be close enough for me to work up the nerve to harass. Until then, I shall cling to my copy of Mordred: Bastard Son and sigh forlornly.

Am seeing red right now. I saw this on someone's quote on deviantart. No idea of the actual source, could belong to the jerk who uses it as a sig: The defence department regrets to inform you that your sons are dead because they were stupid.

Shit like that makes me hate people.

This entire week has been like pulling teeth.

Hey, I got that book-- saw it in one of your recs --but haven't been able to get past the first 15 pages or so. Seems almost too close to purple prose to me >_O; It gets better, yes?

Purple prose? Huh, didn't strike me that way. Maybe it's one of those things to which I've grown far too accustomed in fantasy. But the book does get better once stuff actually starts happening.

These days--so far below poor taste it doesn't even register. It'd have to be "because someone in power is stupid and amoral," and we'll never see that in an official statement.

I know the feeling - I was so happy to get Terry Pratchett's autograph recently - now I jsut want Neil Gaiman's and my HC copy of Good Omens will be jsut perfect.

Out of curiosity - if you could get their autographs what would you want? Just the signature or personalised?
