When people do not take no for an answer, and try to fucking guilt trip me into paying them to do shit I don't want them to do, especially when I am a good sport about it.
Maybe since your weekends lately haven't started out well, you should start pretending they are different days! Call Monday Saturday and work from there. (Mondays are crappy anyway.) That way Wednesday will be Monday and Friday will be Wednesday. Perhaps by confusing the bad vibes about on which day they are supposed to strike you will actually prevent their attack!
On that note though, I once bought a button magnet that says "My mother doesn't just enjoy guilt trips, she runs the travel agency!" <-- not that this has anything to do with the entire thing, but I still find the magnet amusing.
