So I have long loved chocolate-peanut butter ice cream.

I can never fucking find it. Never.

The only place I know to have it is Baskin Robins and there is not one close to me.

Today checked the grocery store -- again -- and just as I was about to walk away in despair I saw haagen dazs had a pint of it.

Still not as good as BR, cause BR uses a darker chocolate that is so very much with the yumminess. But I am stil pleased, so very pleased indeed.

Yus.

*eats ice cream and is quite happy, despite sleep deprivation and being the only loser who has not yet read HP*

Hopefull will get to read it Friday, assuming I can finish this story and at least start SMP. After that, I finally am allowed to wath 1408.

That's on my "flavours to try making" list, but I have hesitated because I'm not sure how Baskin Robins get that nice, salty, sweet peanut butter ribbon...

And none of my friends are fans of chocolate/peanut butter, so I'd have to make it just for me.

Sounds like a yummy flavour! My fixation is on cheese ice cream, which I can't seem to find anywhere and the one store I got it from seems to always be out. *sigh*

Ahh, Baskin Robins, a lot of the BRs I know have been replaced with other ice cream shops, but I'll always have a soft spot for BR since I started getting ice cream there when I was younger.

Chocolate peanut butter ice cream is my second all-time favorite, next to mint chocolate chip ice cream. But only if it is green mint chocolate chip ice cream. Otherwise it is a sin against God and man. And ice cream.

Yeah, I think it's Breyers that makes it 'all natural' and it's good, but it's not GREEN and so fails.

Huh. 9.9 No, no, it has to be green so that when you're done with it you can give the box to the dog to lick and watch him get his head stuck in it, and when he finally manages to get the box off his head the white dog is now green. *nod* ^____^

Mm, ice cream. There is a Ben & Jerry's flavor that has chocolate and peanut butter cups that is good. I... don't remember which one. Enjoy!!

I think I saw on your profile that you're in Cincinnati? They should have Graeter's. Though maybe the Buckeye ice cream is a Columbus thing. I know I've seen lots of varieties... but maybe what you mean also isn't peanut butter chocolate chip. Or chocolate with peanut butter balls. *babbles*

Why is it that ice cream makes me comment?

This is the first time I've had it in weeks . . . Blue Bell came out with a new flavor I had to try. (And Kroger had a sale. Always helpful, sales.) It has almond in it. Mmm, I hate nuts but somehow I have an undying love of almond flavor.

You've made me want to go to BR and have chocolate-peanut butter ice cream except there are no BR's where I live, which is a crime against humanity. Perhaps Braum's or one of the gelato places would have it . . .

This also reminds me of the fact I adore peanut butter smoothies and can rarely find a place that makes them. I just get stared at when I'm asking for one of the best drinks known to man. (It's also a good addition to your diet if you're vegetarian.)

If it makes you feel better, my mom feels like a loser/total geek for having already read HP.

Hope you have recovered from the ice cream afterglow safely! Our local supermarket has a half price sale on Ben & Jerry's just now, they stock five flavours. So did my freezer... briefly.
