Date: 2007-09-05 07:57 am (UTC)I wandered onto your journal a while ago and read some of your writing and friended you to remind myself to read more sometime, mostly just skimming over your posts. There is another person on my flist I can't for the life of me figure out why is there, who posted today filled with glee because they are getting a book published (young adult trilogy, actually) for the first time. Somehow, I mistook them for you. I commented on their post, congratulating them (you), and talking about how I'd enjoyed their writing and always wanted to read more but had a hard time sitting down with a computer (rather than a book) to do so, and now that a book was coming that'd make it a lot easier, wee! And OOooOO, I just couldn't wait! ...I was this close to mentioning how amusing 'your' first novels being YA was, with all the warnings of kinkiness in your writing on your profile. And the gal's books were about brothers and I was sitting there thinking, "She wouldn't... She couldn't... She'd never... They wouldn't LET HER, WOULD THEY?!"
I don't even know if this person has writing even posted on the internet. I think I'm rather too embarrassed to look at this point. ...They're going to be really confused if they see that post, though.
...But I thought, if I were you, I'd probably cackle evilly at pukiban's stupid internet antics, and maybe feel slightly complimented as well. So that's worth reporting for, surely.
...Or, well, you know, I couldn't report stupidity like that to my friends or family, as they're probably going to ask me why on earth I was happy about someone who wrote stuff like that being published. *ahem* ^_^
