Kiah ran his hands through Nanda's hair with genuine wonder. His own hair fell to his waist, but that wasn't unusual in young men. Nanda had several years on him, though it really didn't show because there was something almost ageless about Nanda's manner and appearance, and his hair fell to the floor. Bound, it stopped just shy of his ankles. Completely loose...
"Doesn't it get heavy?' he asked, combing through it gently once more before picking up a brush to help Nanda get it in order.
Nanda nodded. "Yes, it does." He shrugged and gave one of his nearly-invisible smiles. "It is worth it, though."
Kiah did not have to wonder as to what he meant by that, merely smiled in agreement. They fell silent, falling into a pleasant lull, and it seemed almost as though they were the only ones for miles around. Nothing but the rustle of trees from the garden, the distant burbling of the fountain there, broke the silence.
When he'd finished, he set the brush down on the rug and began to gather the hair up so he could begin to braid it.
Nanda turned, and his hands suddenly covered Kiah's own.
Before he could ask if he'd done something wrong, warm lips covered his in one of the soft, almost teasing kisses that Nanda always gave him. They always made him smile, occasionally laugh, as though the two of them shared some happy secret.
As always Nanda tasted slightly bitter, slightly sweet. Kiah kissed him back without hesitation, easy with Nanda where he was still shy around the others.
"You have a sweet touch, Kiah," Nanda said softly when they finally broke apart. "It is no mystery you have such a talent with the horses."
Kiah smiled, wishing he could think of something to say other than a feeble 'thank you'. But no answer was required, it seemed, except to return to the light, playful kisses, and the hands lightly stroking his side encouraged him to touch and explore in his turn.
He was pressed gently down to lay on the floor, and tugged Nanda closer, burying his hands in the seemingly endless lengths of hair. After this, he would likely have to comb it all over again. The thought made him laugh into Nanda's mouth, and he could tell from the answering chuckle that Nanda knew exactly what he was thinking.

Now I suppose I should fix dinner or something. Blah.
