Is it just me?
Dec. 12th, 2007 06:51 amOr is this week dragging on for bloody fucking ever?
On the brightside, tomorrow is the christmas party for the firm, so the office is closing at noon so we can go eat, drink, andlisten to boring speeches be merry. Free beer! Out early!
Friday is going to suck x.x
Ah, well. It's raining raining and they say this weekend it's a 'wintry mix' on Sat. and 'few snow showers' on Sunday x.x
On the brightside, Friday I can finally do some grocery shopping. Saturday I have to christmas shopping, argh if I know how with the weather like it is. We'll see.
I am out of my Mayan Chocolate coffee stuff. Sadness.
Another bit of vampire hunter:
The apartment building looked like it had survived a small war. It was litttle wonder only broken vamps really lived in it.
Creaky, broken, it smelled positively rank - piss and cheap booze, sweat and sex, cigarettes and mold, and beneath all of it the unmistakable stench of old blood. Locke's nose twitched. Ugh, he hated broken vampires.
"Hey," Key said in his ear, "Even the nastiest broken vamps are better than a single top vamp."
Locked glared at the dark, mildewy stairwell he had to climb, wishing Key was present to received the glare and not a couple miles away. "Stop doing that."
Key sniggered. "I can't hep it your thoughts are easy to predict."
"Shut up. Final count, how many would you say?"
"Mmm," Key murmured thoughtfully, keys clicking at a rapidfire rate. It was a familiar sound, soothing in the nasty building. "Reports seem to indicate three to five. Given the low population density in this area, the lack of crime...the lack of any sort of animals in your prelims, I'm going to say five possibly six. No one has ever reported so much as finding a body, so they're smart or at least neat."
Locke glanced at a puddle of some questionable substance. "If you say so."

Date: 2007-12-12 02:09 pm (UTC)As far as the week dragging... for a few minutes at bedtime last night I was thanking God it was Friday and I could sleep in... and then the reality of TUESDAY knocked me upside the head. And, I woke up with my eyes all puffy and nearly seal shut. Nice. Possibly due to waking up with a cat on my face. The 15 lb. one, at that. *rubs neck*
Our party is today, though! Well, the department party. The library party is on Mon, and the college party is Tues. None of them will involve booze or going home early, though, alas. Just lunch.
Good luck with the weather and shopping and the partying and the week will, I promise, actually end. Eventually. More than half over when you read this. *hugs*
