I really fucking hate my goddamn printer right now. I've used it before. I scanned shit. Why the FUCK does it do nothing now? x.x I so fucking fail at life, and no matter how hard I try, something comes along to forcibly return me to my place as Fucking Failure.

Blah

Finally got the fucker working. It only took me 2.5 hours -__-

Anyway, this is the article I wanted to scan. It's not ZOMG! shiney or anything, but it kept me entertained at lunch. Sorry it's not posted all classy or whatnot. My patience wore out about an hour point five ago.

Amuzing and terrifying. It's like watching a train wreck or something.

I went to an anime con recently.

Sitting by a pillar and minding my own business while indulging in a sinful amount of X/1999, I happened to glance up and see this girl in gothic lolita. I tried to get a look at her face through messy red hair.

Suddenly, the girl with the very hairless and girly legs turns and shouts across the room in the deepest, manliest voice, "Hey! Dude! Come over here and check this out."

I had to unglue my jaw from the floor. I'm usually so good at telling genders too. I'm used to it...

And those are disturbing pictures floating around.

I will leave this entry untainted by image macros, don't worry.

The article was interesting, especially considering my recent participation in Anime Weekend Atlanta - and I can definitely attest to the veracity of the article because I have never seen so many gender-confused anime characters in my life! There was even a boy Zelda making out with a boy Link, which was hot, in a wrong way.

PS, Did you see I posted the next part in Greg's story? I hope it can help cheer you up! :P

THE BOY LINK WAS MAKING OUT WITH BOY ZELDA BECAUSE ZELDA IS A MAN. SEKKRIT-LY.

At the end of the article, it said it was "adapted" from a TokyoPop article. The original article can be found here: http://www.tokyopop.com/Robofish/tp_article/688374.html

The ToykoPop article does have some extra text that was edited out of the scanned article (how much I dunno, but there was atleast part of 1 paragraph when I browsed thru it)

I didn't even notice at lunch, and didn't bother to look when I got home. Ah, well. I'm always missing something.

Guess what I had when I got home! It came in a box with a return address of Lulu!

I am so HAPPY!

They are lovely, lovely books. I did see a few misspelled words, and a missing word or two. Perhaps what needs to be done is add another editor *raises hand* or to get a draft back from them before going to publishing?

Thanks for scanning! I crossplay, and don't make too much of an effort to pass--I bind, but only because I've always felt Girl!Duo is a different character than Duo. No drag makeup, no voice coaching, although I can do the former and think the latter would be fun. Of course, I'm also usually a fairly femme guy with more body art than common sense, so shading in a jawline and some cheekbones feels like too much effort.

Thank you for sharing the article, I thought it was interesting. I agree with the talk about gender and sexuality. That is part of the reason I read manga, American's are still too prudish.

Huh. I've never actually thought about that. Which is weird because most of my costumes are male.
